Suckers At Glasslands

Brooklyn psych pop outfit Suckers performed at Glasslands on Thursday, and Punchland was on hand to check out the action. The band covered mostly songs from its 2012 LP, Candy Salad, including a kick ass version of single “Turn on the Sunshine.”

Unfortunately, the show was a tinged with a bittersweet note because, as you all know, Glasslands is closing at the end of the month. The band remarked that the show was their fifteenth (!) at the venue, so you know they are feeling the impending loss as much as us.

Earlier in the night, Dom got the crowd moving with their own synth-infused pop. We haven’t seen much from Dominic Cournoyer’s project since it exploded across the indie-blogosphere a few years ago, but hopefully this concert means more music is on the way. Dominic apparently brought the other four musicians together just three days before the concert, and it’s pretty remarkable how on-point the band sounded.

Future Punx, Cameron Hull, and DJ MAZED also performed.

Check out a few snaps.
