Nada Surf – “Believe You’re Mine”

Nada Surf has managed to do what many bands have failed to do: survive long after their one hit wonder status had waned. Now they are back with a reflective new single “Believe You’re Mine” (which can be listened to below via SoundCloud) which will be on their upcoming album “You Know Who You Are” that comes out on March 4th, 2016 via Barsuk.

“Believe You’re Mine” is one of those tunes that while it has a bit of glimmer and shine to it, it is earthy and honest in its message and approach. This is definitely no ordinary high gloss pop rock hit that you would play over and over on a radio station (unless you were a more indie kind of station). As for the rest of the album, Stereogum goes into further detail saying:

Nada Surf, the band that survived mid-’90s MTV one-hit-wonder status to become indie-rock cult favorites, will return this March with a new album called You Know Who You Are. The soft, shimmering lead single “Believe You’re Mine” arrived today along with the album’s tracklist, and you can check out both below.

If you’re curious to hear how Nada Surf sounds after all these years, “Believe You’re Mine” seems to be an excellent way to find out.
