Marfa Myths is coming up this weekend (March 13-15th) in Marfa, Texas. Curated by New York based label Mexican Summer and co-presented with Ballroom Marfa, the festival is making its second annual mark as a unique cultural program that bridges music, art and film. Marfa Myths features artists from within and outside the Mexican Summer’s roster whom we are excited to reveal now with the weekend’s schedule.
Featuring the following:
Dev Hynes and Connan Mockasin that will result in a limited edition 12”, a sound bath created by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.
A semi-permanent outdoor mural by Liz Harris (Grouper), a presentation of Gregg Kowalsky‘s live installation Tape Chants.
A screening of short documentaries and Holy Cow Swami at Crowley Theatre presented by CineMarfa and Anthology Recordings. Furthermore, live programming throughout the weekend will include sets from Iceage, Grouper, Tamaryn, Steve Gunn, Weyes Blood, GABI, Thug Entrancer, Co La, Bitchin Bajas, LBS. and Suicideyear.
